This year, La Vuelta a España 2022 (or Vuelta 22) has also passed through Extremadura and we could not miss this experience.

The first day in Extremadura took place on September 7, when stage 17 began in Aracena (Huelva) and ended in our land, specifically, in Monasterio de Tentudía. It was a leg-breaking stage of 162.3 km, with constant ups and downs.

On September 8, the second day in Extremadura took place between Trujillo and the Alto del Piornal, 192 km long. In its 18th stage, La Vuelta 22 climbed the Piornal, the highest peak in Extremadura, by three different routes: first by the Desesperá, then by the Monastery of Yuste and finally, through the Jerte Valley. And there we were, waiting to welcome the survivors with open arms. There were 17 kilometers of uphill with ramps of up to 14% that our cyclists overcame successfully.
