Emecuadrado and Iberitos join forces to set up a self-consumption photovoltaic installation

THE EMECECUADRADO GROUP AND IBERITOS TEAM UP TO INSTALL THEIR FIRST SELF-CONSUMPTION PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATION
The Extremadura-based energy engineering company has announced its alliance with Iberitos (national leader in the manufacture of pates and spreadable creams) to start up its first 186.45 kWp photovoltaic installation in Don Benito, Badajoz.
The project, which will be carried out by Emececuadrado at the Iberitos factory in the town, will enable the manufacturer of pates and spreadable creams to save 17% in its annual electricity consumption, and will also avoid the emission of 100 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
Emececuadrado will take care of all the formalities, licenses, assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the installation. The agreement also includes access to a consumption management platform, with which Iberitos will be able to know at all times and in real time both the energy generated by its photovoltaic plant and the consumption demanded by its installations.
This project will generate an annual return of more than 11,000 euros per year during the 25-year estimated useful life of the plant.
The trajectory followed in recent years shows Iberitos and the Emececuadrado Group as entities that, in pursuit of sustainable development, are capable of carrying out projects in the energy sector to achieve the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and minimize economic expenditure in terms of energy consumption.
